Listen up ya snobs, that's DOM's bike. Good dude. He commutes everyday from the Bronx to Manhattan and is always experimenting with his bikes. Whether it's a trailer toting his family's groceries for the month, or a build for a friend or in this case, an experimentation on how bigger tires and lighter wheels affect the handling of a bike, they're always tastefully set up for commuting.
If you weren't hung up on the HED3's there'd be nothing wrong with that particular ride.

I would ride the shit out of that thing! surly and hed3 ftw! both great things!!
On his Flickr he notes that this was a joke set-up: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gyeswho/3555328094/in/set-72157614179620245/
John, I sure do remember this dude from bikeforums.
The build does look crazy -verging on stupid-, and even he himself admits that, right? Nice that he has double HEDs and all...
From the south bronx over 111th street bridge, two miles into manhattan, or what? Mister Prolly?
Normally I would dislike this bike but I love it with the full fenders and huge tires.
