Old Rossin Catalogue Goodness

Couple of interesting Rossin catalogue scans from 1989, provided by Tunturi, the company importing Rossin bikes into Finland back in the day.

The cyclocross model, translated as "OFF-ROAD BIKE" by the way, is something I've never seen before but since it was in the catalogue, it must exist. The hunt is on!

Rossin Track Fork

I recently posted about a NOS Rossin Pista frame which was dug up from the Velosport shop's legendary warehouse, now couple of weeks later the shop owner discovered also the original fork which he gave to the guy who bought the frame. Free of charge. Simply awesome.

Pelizzoli GP Pista 2011

Giovanni Pelizzoli. Who? Mr. Ciöcc, legendary Italian framebuilder is apparently starting to build classic style steel frames again, both road and track models, under his own name. Here are first shots of the new Pelizzoli GP Pista. Keep an eye here and here if you're feelin' deez steeds. I know I will.

Cinelli Laser Pista To Be Reissued

"Today thanks to the rebirth of steel and people like yourselves, a dream is about to be realised: the Cinelli Laser will return. Not just as a museum display, but as a track machine; rigid and lively, more so even than its predecessor 20 years ago. All the original protagonists are ready and motivated; Andrea Pesenti who built 300 throughout the 1980’s, myself Antonio Colombo who thought them up, Paolo Erzegovesi who engineered them, and Emilvano Montorio who pulled out the tubes. New in the band will be Alessandra Cusatelli, my partner, and Cinelli design co-ordinator of the last 10 years. As always, it will only be available in limited editions. The kids are alright!”

Only 300 frames will be made. I really wonder what they will cost.

There are Italian classic track bikes for sale on Ebay all the time but somehow this Olmo Pista Mod. Scatto looks nicer than plenty of others. Columbus Brain is known to be top-notch tubing and the straight chrome fork looks damn neat. The bike's unfortunately not my size...

Found In A Barn

Unknown track frame found in some barn somewhere in Finland. Apparently there were also two old Bianchis in the same place. Damn!

Goldsprint Bahnrahmen / Track Frame

Here's a new classic looking lugged steel track frameset from Germany. Hand-built with Columbus Zona tubing, sporting 'aggressive short track geometry' and not drilled for brakes.

I guess you could do much worse for the 499€ price tag. I'm not quite sure about the name/decals but besides that I would def ride that.

Alex who's selling these told me that he also deals custom frames so basically everything the customer wants is possible. Get in touch with him if you're interested.

Sannino Pursuit On Ebay

Come on now guys, there's a SANNINO Pursuit Pista on Ebay.

Go bidding crazy, we love Sanninos over here. Plus that's apparently a slightly older model with straight (instead of curvy) sloping top tube and bit different detailing than the ones cruising around Helsinki. And there are quite a few of them here for some strange reason.

"Frame builded by Sannino Cicli in the 80's.
Sannino was an Italian factory who build Frames from 1978 to the 1999. Sannino frames are knowed by their well based building, very good products.
The frame is a 55 cc and it has a fork for 650c.
Bottom Bracket is Italian NOT English.
Head tube is 8cm, fork tube is 11,5cm
Under the Bottom bracket box is marked on the steel "SANNINO" and on the back there is the typical "S" of this frames.
Its in good condition, there are few scratch near the chain, just to be clear.
It was builded with Columbus Tubi "Acciaio Speciale" (special steel)."
