The LOW Story
Prolly blogged Kim's LOW, and everybody loves LOW, right?
But only few of the fixie-fiends and street track bike headz out there in the Interwebz know the true story. I know Kim, bro lives just couple blocks away from me, you know?
"I never liked my Low anyway but nobody cared, they were just ´go Kim go´.
Prolly rang my doorbell one night and brought a bottle of whisky.
´You go kim´ Prolly told me.
I was like ´Yea whatever.´
Anyway we drank the booze and hit the road.
Prolly was wasted, he was all `Aw fuc..no brakes!" and that stuff.
I threw my Low off the Pitkäsilta bridge and said to him: ´Fuck this shit you know. Bro, do you get it. Fuck this shit. Just fuck it.´
And that was the end of it. The End of Low you know. That´s when the sales started crashing."
Kiitos Tuukka!

"On March 15th, Krys was hit by a car in Brooklyn. After major surgery, she is unable to walk, work or ride her bike. Her rehab period will be extensive, but a full recovery is planned."
If you feel like helping her out, donations can be made HERE.

There was a time when I was this close to ordering a Black Bag by Seagull Bags, but then I didn't. I guess I should have.

Pelago Cargo Bike Prototype
First sneak peak photo of the Pelago Cycles' forthcoming cargo bike designed and hand-built by our man Olli Erkkilä in Punavuori, Helsinki.
It's still just a prototype and has no name, price nor release date at the moment but according to the first test report it rides nice. One main point of the design is to keep the bike relatively light weight and easy to handle, the bike being meant as an urban family bike with both a child seat and box for transporting stuff. The actual cargo box design is still not finished, though. The bike will eventually be equipped with a Alfine 8 speed hub. I will keep you posted on the progress of the project.

Levi's Commuter Collection
Levi's Commuter Collection.
I can def dig but when are these becoming available in Europe?
In fact I've been looking for some black Commuter 511's lately, anybody know where to get these in Europe or any online store with worldwide shipping? Levi's own online store does not ship outside of US and no one seems to have any on Ebay currently.
Levi's hook me up, please?
Def Wish
Kim's yet again another new whip looking good as ever.
More photos here.
I'm kind of sitting on the fence about whether these fat wheeled 700c trickytracky fixy bikes should be called 29ers at all, or whether the term should be reserved strictly for proper MTB 29ers but I guess no one is asking me about it anyway.

About Gipiemme Pista A40 Wheelsets:
So, PLANET X sells Gipiemme Pista A40 Wheelsets at a relatively good price. They're supposedly Italian, there's even 'Pista' in the name and they look pretty nice. The hubs come with a traditional loose ball bearings, which is bit of a drag but so what.
In the original description Planet X stated: "We ordered sealed bearing hubs and these arrived with a standard hub - the hubs are cup and cone and a bit shall we say industrial". Right.
Out of the box the hubs don't spin too nice so you open them up... and what do you see? The damn hub has only five, FIVE, 5, balls in it. WTF?
Even if this is probably just an isolated case, like some worker left for lunch hour in the middle of packing the bearings and just forgot about it, do yourself a favor steer clear of these.
